Most of us know that anxiety is that feeling we get when we think something is going to go wrong. Well what about the feeling we get when we can’t sleep? What about the feeling we get when we start to lose our breath and go dizzy? Is that anxiety too? YES! There are several anxiety physical symptoms and in order to deal with your situation properly you need to know how to recognize these symptoms so you can overcome your problems.

When you get anxious about something what goes through your mind? For most people its that knotted stomach feeling you get when you don’t know what is going to happen next but you suspect its going to be bad. You think to yourself the worst imaginable thing that could happen and then think about how you would react to that. Its when you start to think these thoughts about everything that you have to start saying to yourself that you have anxiety issues. One of the main physical symptoms is insomnia. This means you are unable to go to sleep at night even though you feel tired. The tiredness follows you from night to day and before long you are no use to anyone. You become clumsy, uncoordinated and forgetful. This is made so much worse when you can’t sleep for a few days or even weeks and can make everything seem like hard work.

Another physical symptom is heart palpitations. They can come on all of a sudden and can be really scary, especially if you are of the opinion that you may have a heart attack! If you have really high levels of anxiety then you are likely to suffer from panic attacks. These panic attacks are when your mind takes over your body and you begin to feel like you can’t breath, dizzy, light headed and you are unable to cope throughout it. The best thing to do for treating panic attacks is to majorly reduce the amount of anxiety in your life and not to let it get to you. If you feel that you can’t do this then maybe see a doctor but for now, concentrate on trying to improve your anxiety levels and get rid of it for good!
